In Ephesus, where shadows twist the truth,
And words of men obscure the gospel’s light,
Paul’s charge to Timothy, a faithful youth,
Reveals the goal that sets the soul aright.
The command is love, pure, fervent, and divine,
A flame to burn where faith and conscience shine.
No empty talk, no myths to lead astray,
But love that flows where Christ has paved the way.
A pure heart, cleansed by grace’s holy stream,
Becomes the well from which true love does spring.
No guile within, no falsehood’s hidden scheme,
But truth’s clear note that makes the spirit sing.
A good conscience, steadfast, clear, and bright,
Guides every deed beneath God’s searching sight.
Sincere faith, unswayed by doubt’s cold breath,
Holds fast to Christ, through life, through pain, through death.
This triad weaves a life that bears God’s mark,
A love that builds, restores, and never fades.
No barren words can dim its holy spark,
For rooted deep, it grows through all crusades.
O church of God, pursue this sacred aim,
Let love define your heart, your life, your name.
By fruit you’re known, in Christ your roots abide,
To love as He, with arms forever wide.
